Job title: Bid Writer

Location: Manchester (with 1 day working from home post training)

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 9am –5.30pm

Salary: £35k - £40k basic salary plus bonus scheme (£55k OTE) and excellent benefits (listed below)

About the opportunity:

  • Due to new business growth, they are now looking for a Bid Writer to assist in continuing to expand their industry leading bid writing team.
  • This team are key in securing new, sustainable, and profitable work in the public sector and this role is to work within their Bid Team to write bid responses for     exciting and complex projects.
  • Reporting to the Head of Bids, you will have real and rare opportunity to join a highly ambitious, expanding private equity backed business with significant career value.

 

Main duties of role:

  • Writing compelling responses to bid questions in line with customer specifications to support the wider bid function
  • Fact finding with stakeholders across the business
  • Uploading and despatching ITTs and bids to portals
  • Undertaking additional projects and activities to support Bid Management and Business Development as required

 

Essential experience and skills required:

  • 1+ years bid writing experience for the public sector
  • A close attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to succeed under pressure to meet tender deadlines
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite
  • Self-motivated to ensure every tender you work on is of the highest possible standard

 

Desirable knowledge and skills:

  • An understanding of ESG and Social Value
  • Degree educated
  • Experience writing private sector bids
